Tacoma Climate Stories – Main Archive Celebration

Join the City, Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department and the Tacoma Public Library in sharing your climate story. Through art, visuals, or spoken word, your voice can help shape the new Climate Stories Community Archive. Contribute your perspective, inspire future climate conversations, and discover your next great read.
Our final celebration features spoken word artists from Creative Colloquy and a local author and climate psychology educator & consultant, Leslie Davenport. There will be free food and gift cards available while supplies last for participation.

Leslie Davenport, local author and Climate Psychology Educator and Consultant
Bio: Leslie Davenport is a climate psychology educator, consultant, and therapist, working at the intersection of climate, education, policy, media, and social justice. She is the author of Emotional Resiliency in the Era of Climate Change, All the Feelings Under the Sun and What to Do When Climate Change Scares You for younger audiences. She regularly contributes to the Gen Dread “Ask a Climate Therapist” column and serves as an advisor to organizations such as the Post Carbon Institute, Climate Mental Health Network, and One Resilient Earth. Leslie also leads the Climate Psychology Certification program at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
